Biography
Bill Thorpe is an American actor and singer. He trained at the New England Conservatory, where he earned a master's degree in voice and opera performance, and studied at the Lichtenberg Voice Institute in Germany.
Thorpe has appeared in supporting roles in several films, including Mystic River (2003) as the neighbour at the barricade, Joy (2015) as the Dallas man, Sound of Metal (2020) as the man, The Unholy (2021) as Father Prescott, and Boston Strangler (2023) as the brawny detective. He has also worked in television series such as Olive Kitteridge (2014) and Castle Rock (2018).
As a singer, he has performed as a soloist across the United States and on CBS television for the Cole Porter centennial broadcast. He is a member of the Pi Kappa Lambda National Music Honor Society and ASCAP.
