Biography
Billy Redden is an American actor born on 13 October 1956 in Rabun County, Georgia. He was cast at the age of 15 in the role of Lonnie, the banjo-playing boy, in the 1972 film Deliverance after being discovered locally by casting director Lynn Stalmaster.
Redden appeared in a small number of subsequent films, including Blastfighter (1984) and Big Fish (2003), in both cases playing a banjo player. He has also worked as a tour guide for Deliverance filming locations and in various local jobs.
