Biography
Birgit Minichmayr is an Austrian actress born on 3 April 1977 in Linz. She studied drama at the Max-Reinhardt-Seminar in Vienna and made her cinema debut in 2000.
She is known for her supporting role as Gerda Christian in Downfall (2004) and appearances in films including Perfume: The Story of a Murderer (2006), Everyone Else (2009), The White Ribbon (2009) and Chess Story (2021). For her lead performance in Everyone Else she received the Silver Bear for Best Actress at the 2009 Berlin International Film Festival.
Minichmayr has also worked extensively in theatre, including at the Burgtheater in Vienna, and has appeared in numerous television productions.
