Biography
Blair Brown is an American stage, film and television actress. Born Bonnie Blair Brown on 23 April 1946 in Washington, D.C., she trained at the National Theatre School of Canada, graduating in 1969, and began her career in theatre, including work with the Stratford Shakespeare Festival.
She is known for leading roles in the films Altered States (1980), Continental Divide (1981) and Strapless (1989), and for playing the title character in the television series The Days and Nights of Molly Dodd (1987–1991). Brown won the 2000 Tony Award for Best Featured Actress in a Play for her performance in Copenhagen. Later credits include Nina Sharp in Fringe (2008–2013), Judy King in Orange Is the New Black (2013–2017) and Mrs. Henson in Dogville (2003).
