Biography
Blake McClure is an American cinematographer and member of the American Society of Cinematographers. He graduated from Watkins Film School in Nashville, Tennessee, where he was born in 1986, and began working in film as a production assistant on the Coen brothers’ O Brother, Where Art Thou? (2000), shot by Roger Deakins.
McClure has shot numerous television series, including seasons of You’re the Worst (2014–2019), A.P. Bio (2018–2021, also directing an episode), Miracle Workers (2019–2023, also directing episodes), Ratched (2020), Hollywood (2020), The Dropout (2022), Minx (2022–2023), Loot (2022–2024), Grotesquerie (2024) and Rooster (2026). In 2014 he received an ASC Award for Best Cinematography in a Half-Hour Episodic Series for his work on Drunk History.
