Biography
Boyd 'Red' Morgan (born Boyd Franklin Morgan) was an American actor and stuntman. Born on 24 October 1915 in Waurika, Oklahoma, he died on 8 January 1988 in Tarzana, California. He attended the University of Southern California on a football scholarship and played briefly in the National Football League for the Washington Redskins before serving in the US Navy during the Second World War.
Morgan began his film career in the 1930s and worked extensively as an actor and stunt performer in Westerns and other genres for over five decades. He appeared in uncredited roles in films including Ride Lonesome (1959), True Grit (1969), Dirty Harry (1971) and Blazing Saddles (1974). He also performed stunts on numerous productions and doubled for several actors.
