Biography
Brandon Auret is a South African actor born on 27 December 1972 in Johannesburg. He began his career in the late 1990s with roles in South African television, including the part of Leon du Plessis in the SABC3 soap opera Isidingo (1998–2005). He has a background in musical theatre, with credits including productions such as The Buddy Holly Story, and studied drama at Pretoria Tech.
Auret has appeared in international films, notably as an MNU Mercenary in District 9 (2009), Drake in Elysium (2013) and Hippo in Chappie (2015). Other film roles include Johan Dreyer in Tremors 5: Bloodlines (2015), Elijah Dekker in Rogue (2020) and Faunus in Rebel Moon – Part One: A Child of Fire (2023). He is a co-owner and producer of the production company A Breed Apart Pictures.
