Biography
Brett Hoffman is a producer and writer working in animation. He began his career in the mid-2000s with script coordinator and story coordinator roles on Robots (2005) and Ice Age: The Meltdown (2006). He later worked as script and recording supervisor on several Illumination films, including The Lorax (2012) and Despicable Me 2 (2013).
Hoffman progressed to associate producer on Minions (2015), The Secret Life of Pets (2016), Sing (2016) and Despicable Me 3 (2017). He has since served as producer or executive producer on titles including The Secret Life of Pets 2 (2019), Minions: The Rise of Gru (2022), The Super Mario Bros. Movie (2023) and Despicable Me 4 (2024). He has also written several Minion short films, such as Home Makeover (2010), Orientation Day (2010), Training Wheels (2013) and Cro Minion (2015).
