Biography
Brian Avery is an American actor and producer. Born in Los Angeles on 13 July 1940, he attended Loyola High School, where he received the Bing Crosby Drama Medal, and Loyola University on scholarship, earning a B.A. in English with minors in philosophy and languages.
His professional career began on Broadway in the musical A Time for Singing (1966). He subsequently appeared in films such as The Graduate (1967) as Carl Smith, Journey to Shiloh (1968) and Sleeper (1973) as Herald Cohen, and in television series including The Green Hornet (1966) and Murder, She Wrote (1984). Avery has also worked as a producer on projects including Kiss & Tell (1997). Following the release of The Graduate, he was invited to join the Actors Branch of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
