Biography
Brian Gallivan is an American actor, writer and producer. Born in Dedham, Massachusetts, he began performing improv in Boston before moving to Chicago in 2003, where he appeared in several mainstage revues at The Second City.
He created the web series Sassy Gay Friend and has written for television including Are You There, Chelsea?, Happy Endings and The McCarthys, which he also created. On the Apple TV+ series Shrinking (2023–) he has written episodes, served as executive producer and appeared as Stuart.
Gallivan has acted in the films The Informant! (2009) and A Thousand Words (2012). He received Emmy nominations for his work on Shrinking.
