Biography
Burak Yiğit is a German actor born in 1986 in Kreuzberg, Berlin. Of Turkish descent, he completed a gardener apprenticeship before making his stage debut in 2004 at the Berlin 100 Grad Festival in a production directed by Tamer Yigit. Early work included short films, radio plays and theatre roles at venues such as the Volksbühne Berlin.
He gained wider attention in 2008 with a role in the Tatort episode Auf der Sonnenseite. Yiğit received the Bayerischer Filmpreis and the Max Ophüls Preis for best newcomer for his performance in Bis aufs Blut – Brüder auf Bewährung (2010). He is known for supporting roles in Victoria (2015) and Mustang (2015), as well as appearances in television series including Dogs of Berlin (2018) and Crooks (2024).
