Biography
Carlo Rota is a British-Canadian actor. Born on 17 April 1961 in London, he worked in the restaurant industry before beginning his acting career around the age of 30.
His early screen credit was as the C.B.S. Producer in the 1993 film Thirty Two Short Films About Glenn Gould. He has appeared in films including The Boondock Saints (1999) and Saw V (2008). On television he is known for recurring roles as Yasir Hamoudi in Little Mosque on the Prairie (2007–2012), Morris O'Brian in 24 (2006–2009) and Emilio Solano in Jane the Virgin (2014–2015). He also hosted the CBC series Great Canadian Food Show.
