Biography
Carlos Zaragoza is a production designer and art director working in both live-action and animation. Originally from Madrid, Spain, he studied painting at the Complutense University and art direction for film and television at ECAM.
His credits include art direction on Pan's Labyrinth (2006), for which he shared an Art Directors Guild Excellence in Production Design Award, and production design on The Emoji Movie (2017) and Vivo (2021), the latter earning him an Annie Award nomination. He has also contributed to films including Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted (2012) and Mr. Peabody & Sherman (2014). He is based in Los Angeles.
