Biography
Carthew Neal is a New Zealand film, television and interactive producer. He has worked extensively with director Taika Waititi through their production company Piki Films.
Neal produced Waititi's Hunt for the Wilderpeople (2016) and Jojo Rabbit (2019), the latter receiving six Academy Award nominations including Best Picture. He also produced the documentary Tickled (2016) and The Breaker Upperers (2018), and served as associate producer on Pete's Dragon (2016).
In 2016 he was named Independent Producer of the Year at the New Zealand SPADA conference and was included in Variety's Producers to Watch list. His earlier work includes the environmental series Wa$ted! (2007) and interactive web projects.
