Biography
Catherine Hicks is an American actress. Born in New York City on 6 August 1951, she studied at Saint Mary's College and earned an MFA from Cornell University before training at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute.
She began her career in the soap opera Ryan's Hope (1976–1978) and appeared on Broadway in Tribute. Hicks is known for her roles as Carol Heath in Peggy Sue Got Married (1986), Dr Gillian Taylor in Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home (1986), Karen Barclay in Child's Play (1988), and Annie Camden in the television series 7th Heaven (1996–2007). She received an Emmy nomination for portraying Marilyn Monroe in Marilyn: The Untold Story (1980) and a Saturn Award for Child's Play.
Hicks has been married to special effects artist Kevin Yagher since 1990.
