Biography

Cathy Adamek is an Australian actress and choreographer. She trained at the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA), the Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Arts in London, and to RAD Advanced standard, and holds a BA (Hons).

Her screen acting credits include the role of Prue Flannery in The Babadook (2014), Woman on Road in The Nightingale (2018), Julie Bardot in Cut (2000), and Carmel - Ultrasound Technician in the television series McLeod's Daughters (2003–2007). She has also worked as a choreographer or movement director on The Nightingale (2018), Cargo (2017) and the series The Tourist (2022), and has performed in theatre and dance with companies including State Theatre SA and Australian Dance Theatre.
