Biography
Celia Lovsky (born Cäcilia Josefina Lvovský) was an Austrian-American actress. Born in Vienna in 1897, she trained in theatre, dance and languages at the Austrian Royal Academy of Arts and Music and appeared on stage in Vienna and Berlin.
She moved to the United States in the 1930s. After her divorce from actor Peter Lorre in 1945, she worked as a character actress in more than forty films and numerous television programmes until the mid-1970s. Her screen credits include an uncredited role as a baroness in Three Coins in the Fountain (1954), T'Pau in the Star Trek episode "Amok Time" (1967), and the Exchange Leader in Soylent Green (1973). She died in Los Angeles in 1979.
