Biography
Charity Wakefield is an English actress. She was born on 18 September 1980 in Tunbridge Wells, Kent, and trained at the Oxford School of Drama, graduating in 2003.
Wakefield is known for her roles as Marianne Dashwood in the 2008 BBC adaptation of Sense and Sensibility, Mary Boleyn in Wolf Hall (2015), and Georgina Dymova in the series The Great (2020–2023). She has also appeared in The Player (2015), Genius (2017) and Scoop (2024).
Her stage work includes productions at the National Theatre and Shakespeare’s Globe. The cast of The Great received Screen Actors Guild Award nominations for outstanding ensemble in a comedy series.
