Biography
Charles B. Fitzsimons (8 May 1924 – 14 February 2001) was an Irish actor, attorney and film and television producer who emigrated to the United States. He trained as a lawyer at the National University of Ireland and King's Inns, and had acting experience with Dublin's Abbey Theatre.
Fitzsimons was originally hired in a legal capacity for the Irish location shooting of John Ford's The Quiet Man (1952) and was cast as Hugh Forbes, making his film debut alongside his elder sister, Maureen O'Hara. He later produced The Deadly Companions (1961) and served as associate producer on Batman (1966). He held the post of executive director of the Producers Guild of America from 1981 to 1999.
