Biography
Charles Cioffi was an American film and television actor. Born in New York City on 31 October 1935, he studied at Michigan State University and made his professional debut at the Guthrie Theater in Minneapolis before appearing on Broadway, including as John Hancock in the musical 1776.
He is best known for playing Lt. Matt Reardon in the 1974–75 series Get Christie Love! opposite Teresa Graves. His film roles include Peter Cable in Klute (1971), Lt. Vic Androzzi in Shaft (1971), Captain Ray Tower in Missing (1982) and Pop in All the Right Moves (1983). On television he appeared in The X-Files as Section Chief Scott Blevins, The A-Team, Columbo, Law & Order and Frasier, among many other series. Cioffi died in Marina del Rey, California, on 22 May 2026, aged 90.
