Biography
Charles Orme (13 August 1918 – 9 May 2007) was a British film producer and production manager. He began his career as a production assistant, production manager and assistant director with the Powell & Pressburger team known as The Archers, working on films including The Red Shoes (1948), The Small Back Room (1949), The Tales of Hoffmann (1951) and The Battle of the River Plate (1956). He was the brother-in-law of Emeric Pressburger.
Orme later served as associate producer or production supervisor on numerous films, collaborating regularly with directors including Ralph Thomas, Basil Dearden and John Boorman. His credits include Khartoum (1966), The Assassination Bureau (1969), Deliverance (1972), Zardoz (1974), The Man with the Golden Gun (1974), The Adventure of Sherlock Holmes' Smarter Brother (1975), The Omen (1976), Exorcist II: The Heretic (1977) and King David (1985).
