Biography
Charles W. Short (1919–2002) was an American cinematographer who worked in both feature films and television. He began his career as a camera operator on several notable films of the 1970s, including The Sting (1973), The Outlaw Josey Wales (1976) and Soldier Blue (1970).
Short later served as director of photography on The Enforcer (1976) and a range of television productions. These included the series Nero Wolfe (1981), for which he received a Primetime Emmy nomination, Hotel (1986–1987) and Seinfeld (1991–1992, 22 episodes). He died in Studio City, California.
