Biography
Charlie George, also known professionally as Kali Varghese, is a British writer and comedian from Swindon. She won the Comedy Bloomers LGBTQ+ New Comedian of the Year award in 2019 and was a runner-up in the So You Think You're Funny and Funny Women competitions that year.
As a scriptwriter she has contributed to Death to 2020 (2020), Death to 2021 (2021) and Cunk on Life (2024). Her other credits include Have I Got News for You, Blankety Blank, Joe Lycett's Got Your Back and Frankie Boyle's New World Order. In 2020 she was selected for the Penguin Random House UK WriteNow editorial programme.
