Biography
Charlie Sexton is an American actor and musician. Born Charles Wayne Sexton on 11 August 1968 in San Antonio, Texas, he began his career as a guitarist and singer, releasing his debut album Pictures for Pleasure in 1985 and later forming the band Arc Angels.
Sexton has appeared in several films and television series. He played Jimmy in Richard Linklater’s Boyhood (2014), Townes Van Zandt in Blaze (2018), Reverend Martin in the miniseries The Good Lord Bird (2020), and Bob in Angels Sing (2013). He has also contributed to soundtracks and performed in projects including Thelma & Louise (1991) and Masked and Anonymous (2003).
He has toured extensively with Bob Dylan and worked as a session musician and producer.
