Biography
Charu Bala Chokshi is a British actress, also credited as Charubala Chokshi or Charu Bala Choksi. She played Bilquis in the 1985 film My Beautiful Laundrette.
Her other screen credits include the role of an ayah in Gandhi (1982), Mrs Patel in Splitting Heirs (1993), Meera in the television series Little Britain (2003–2006), and an Indian cleaner in A Fish Called Wanda (1988). She has also appeared in episodes of Mind Your Language (1978) as Surinder.
