Biography
Chiang Hsing-Lung (also credited as Hsing-lung Chiang or 姜興隆) is a Hong Kong film editor. Born in Shanghai in 1928, he arrived in Hong Kong in 1948 and trained at Nanyang Film Studio before joining Shaw Brothers in 1956.
He edited hundreds of Shaw Brothers productions, working frequently on wuxia and kung fu films. His credits include Come Drink with Me (1966), The 36th Chamber of Shaolin (1978), The Five Venoms (1978), Return to the 36th Chamber (1980) and The 8 Diagram Pole Fighter (1984).
Chiang received Golden Horse awards for best film editing on The Love Eterne (1963), Sons of the Good Earth (1966) and The Avenging Eagle (1978).
