Biography
Choi Gwi-hwa is a South Korean actor. He joined the Meulmye Theatre Company in Bucheon in 1997 and began appearing in short films from 1999. His first feature-film role came in Why Did You Come to My House? (2009).
He gained wider recognition for his supporting performance as a deputy chief in the television series Misaeng: Incomplete Life (2014). Choi has since appeared in numerous films, including Train to Busan (2016) as a homeless man, A Taxi Driver (2017) and The Outlaws (2017) as Jeon Il-man. He reprised the latter role in The Roundup (2022) and has featured in television series such as Squid Game (2021). In 2017 he received the Best New Actor award from the Korea Film Director's Network for his work in The Outlaws.
