Biography
Chris Andrews was a British actor. He is best known for playing Gary Bolton, a Yellowcoat, in the BBC sitcom Hi-de-Hi!, appearing in 50 episodes from series 2 to series 8 (1981–1988).
His other television credits include uncredited roles in Doctor Who (1983–1988) and The Young Ones (1984), as well as appearances in Girls on Top (1985), 'Allo 'Allo! (1989) and Minder (1989). He had an uncredited role as an Election Ceremony Patron in the 1989 film Batman.
After his acting career, Andrews worked as a bodyguard for pop stars including Kylie Minogue, Jason Donovan and Chris de Burgh. He died in 2024.
