Biography
Chris Haywood is an English-born Australian actor, writer and producer. Born on 24 July 1948 in Billericay, Essex, he trained at the East 15 Acting School and has appeared in close to 500 screen roles since the early 1970s.
He is known for performances in Shine (1996) as Sam, Muriel's Wedding (1994) as Ken Blundell, Quigley Down Under (1990) as Major Ashley-Pitt, and Razorback (1984) as Benny Baker. Haywood has also worked as a production manager and in other behind-the-camera roles on Australian films and television. His work has been recognised with three Australian Film Institute awards.
