Biography

Chris Larkin (born Christopher Larkin Stephens) is an English actor. He is the elder son of actors Dame Maggie Smith and Sir Robert Stephens, and the brother of actor Toby Stephens. He trained at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA).

Larkin is known for his film roles as Captain Howard in Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World (2003), Hermann Göring in Hitler: The Rise of Evil (2003), Sergeant Helm in Valkyrie (2008), and Nigel Jones in Official Secrets (2019). His television credits include Lynley in Doctor Who (2007), Richard Brown in Outlander (2020–2023), and appearances in Highlander: The Series (1997) and Black Sails (2017). He has also worked in theatre, including at the National Theatre.

He has been married to Victoria "Suki" Steadman since 2005.
