Biography

Chris Thomas King is an American actor and blues musician. Born on 14 October 1962 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, he is the son of blues musician Tabby Thomas.

King is known for his role as Tommy Johnson in the Coen brothers film O Brother, Where Art Thou? (2000). He also appeared as Lowell Fulson in Ray (2004) and as Detective Storm Anderson in Kill Switch (2008), and portrayed Blind Willie Johnson in the documentary The Soul of a Man (2003).

Primarily a musician, King has contributed to film soundtracks including that of O Brother, Where Art Thou?, for which he received Grammy and Country Music Association awards.
