Biography
Christian Sebaldt is a German cinematographer and member of the American Society of Cinematographers. Born in Munich in 1958, he trained at Bavaria Film studio and worked as an assistant to the director of photography on Rainer Werner Fassbinder's Lili Marleen (1981). He moved to Los Angeles in 1984 and has since accumulated more than 40 feature film credits and over 175 television episodes.
Sebaldt is best known for his work on the television series CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, for which he received a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Cinematography for a Single-Camera Series in 2010, along with an ASC nomination and a Kodak Vision Award. His feature credits include Resident Evil: Apocalypse (2004), FearDotCom (2002), Starship Troopers 2: Hero of the Federation (2004), Reagan (2024) and Final Destination Bloodlines (2025). He has also shot numerous commercials and collaborated frequently with director Sean McNamara.
