Biography
Christiane Kubrick is a German actress and painter. Born Christiane Susanne Harlan on 10 May 1932 in Braunschweig, she trained as an actress and dancer and appeared in German television and theatre before her film debut.
She played the German singer in the final scene of Stanley Kubrick's Paths of Glory (1957), credited as Susanne Christian. She married Kubrick in 1958 and remained his wife until his death in 1999. Her uncle was film director Veit Harlan. She later became known as a painter, with her works appearing in several of Kubrick's films, and had an uncredited role in Eyes Wide Shut (1999).
