Biography
Christopher J. Byrne is a Canadian television director, producer and composer. He has directed episodes of Star Trek: Discovery (2017–2024), American Gods (2019), Jupiter's Legacy (2021), Clarice (2021), Foundation (2025) and Star Trek: Strange New Worlds (2022). He also directed two episodes of the Marvel series VisionQuest (2026), on which he served as executive producer.
Byrne previously worked as a second unit director on Hannibal (2014–2015) and 12 Monkeys (2015–2018). He holds a degree from York University in Toronto and began his career in the Canadian film and television industry in the 1990s.
