Biography

Christopher Murrie is a film editor who has worked primarily in stop-motion animation. He graduated from Knox College in 1995 with a degree in studio art and joined what was then Will Vinton Studios in 1999 as an assistant editor, later becoming a senior editor at the studio after its rebranding as Laika.

Murrie served as editor on Coraline (2009), ParaNorman (2012) and Kubo and the Two Strings (2016). He provided additional editing on The Boxtrolls (2014). He received an Annie Award for editorial achievement on Kubo and the Two Strings and was nominated for an American Cinema Editors Eddie Award for the same film; he was also nominated for an Eddie Award for Coraline.
