Biography
Christopher Rozycki was a Polish-born actor who worked primarily in British film and television. Born Krzysztof Rózycki on 15 October 1943 in Rozprza, Poland, he trained at the Lodz School of Film and Theatre and had an established theatre career in Poland before moving to the United Kingdom in the late 1970s.
He is known for his role as Victor in the film Local Hero (1983), Titus in Truly Madly Deeply (1990), the Russian Chief of Police in The Saint (1997), and Kuba Trzcinski, the Polish porter, in the first three series of the television drama Casualty (1986). He also appeared in episodes of Downton Abbey (2014) and other British series and films.
Rozycki was married to actress and agent Joanna Hole from 1991 until his death; he had previously been married to Maria Ficenes. He died on 10 April 2015 in Bath, Somerset, following an accidental fall.
