Biography
Ciarán Donnelly is an Irish film and television director. He directed two episodes of the BBC series Spooks in 2003, and has worked on multiple episodes of Cold Feet (2001–2003), including one that contributed to the series winning a BAFTA for Best Drama Series.
Donnelly is known for directing on major series including The Tudors (2007–2010), Camelot (2011), Vikings (2013–2019), Altered Carbon (2018), The Wheel of Time (2021) and Vikings: Valhalla (2022). He served as showrunner and director on Titanic: Blood and Steel (2012) and co-created the Irish series Kin (2021–).
He has won multiple IFTA awards, including for Stardust (2006) and Vikings, and a BAFTA. Donnelly is also a producer and writer.
