Biography
Clare Grogan is a Scottish actress and singer, sometimes credited as C.P. Grogan. Born in Glasgow on 17 March 1962, she first gained attention as the lead singer of the 1980s new wave band Altered Images, which had UK hits including "Happy Birthday".
Her acting career began with the role of Susan in Bill Forsyth's Gregory's Girl (1981). She later appeared as Charlotte in Comfort and Joy (1984), Kristine Kochanski in Red Dwarf (1988), and Niamh Connolly in the Father Ted episode "Rock-a-Hula Ted" (1996). Other credits include roles in EastEnders, Skins and The Wee Man (2013).
Grogan has also worked in theatre and as a presenter. She married musician Stephen Lironi in 1994.
