Biography
Claude Duneton was a French actor and writer. He was born on 21 April 1935 in Lagleygeolle, Corrèze, and died on 21 March 2012 in Lille.
He appeared in supporting roles in films including The Double Life of Véronique (1991) as Véronique's father and Three Colors: Blue (1993) as the doctor. He also acted in Betty Blue (1986) and other films and television productions. Earlier in his career he worked as a teacher of English for around twenty years.
Duneton wrote numerous books on language, idioms and French popular speech, and contributed a regular column to Le Figaro littéraire.
