Biography
Claudine Bouché (27 September 1925 – 7 April 2014) was a French film editor. She began her career editing the 1951 comedy Mr. Peek-a-Boo and went on to work on approximately forty films.
Bouché edited six films directed by François Truffaut, including Shoot the Piano Player (1960), Jules and Jim (1962), Antoine and Colette (1962), The Soft Skin (1964) and The Bride Wore Black (1968). She also edited Emmanuelle (1974) and, later in her career, François Ozon’s Criminal Lovers (1999) and Water Drops on Burning Rocks (2000). In 1977, Film Comment ranked her among the seventy-five leading film editors.
