Biography
Clovis Bueno was a Brazilian art director, production designer and costume designer. Born in Santos, São Paulo, in 1940, he began working in film in the late 1960s as a costume designer on titles such as Anuska, manequim e mulher (1968) before moving into set design.
He is known for his work on Hector Babenco films including Pixote (1980), where he served as both costume designer and art director, and Kiss of the Spider Woman (1985). Other credits include production design on Carandiru (2003), At Play in the Fields of the Lord (1991) and Kickboxer 3: The Art of War (1992). Bueno also directed and wrote the 2005 film Cafundó. He died in Rio de Janeiro in 2015.
