Biography
Colin Stimpson is a British production designer and art director in the animation industry. He has worked for over twenty-five years at studios including Walt Disney Feature Animation and Illumination Entertainment.
His credits include art direction on The Emperor's New Groove (2000) and The Secret Life of Pets (2016), and production design on Kronk's New Groove (2005), The Secret Life of Pets 2 (2019) and Migration (2023). He has also contributed as a background designer and character designer on films such as Hercules (1997) and The Lorax (2012).
Stimpson has received Annie Award nominations for production design on The Emperor's New Groove and character design on The Lorax, and an Art Directors Guild nomination for The Grinch (2018).
