Biography
Connie Ray is an American actress and playwright. Born on 10 July 1953 in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, she studied dance at East Carolina University and earned a Master of Fine Arts at Ohio University.
Her film roles include the Owner's Girlfriend in Space Jam (1996), Aunt Tina in Stuart Little (1999), Vicki Rusk in About Schmidt (2002), Pearl in Thank You for Smoking (2005) and Mrs Sousley in Flags of Our Fathers (2006). On television she has appeared in Grey's Anatomy, My Name Is Earl and other series. As a playwright she wrote the bluegrass gospel musical Smoke on the Mountain (1990) and its sequels Sanders Family Christmas (1999) and Smoke on the Mountain Homecoming (2006).
