Biography

Conor O'Neill is a film editor. He began his career in documentary filmmaking in the early 2000s after studying at Vassar College. Early credits include Word Wars (2004), which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival and received an Emmy nomination, and Murderball (2005), co-edited with Geoffrey Richman; the film won awards at Sundance and was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Documentary Feature.

O'Neill has edited narrative features such as Country Strong (2010) and Foxcatcher (2014). He served as additional editor on Moneyball (2011) and has maintained an ongoing collaboration with director Brett Morgen on music documentaries including Crossfire Hurricane (2012), Cobain: Montage of Heck (2015) and Moonage Daydream (2022). Other credits include 180° South (2010) and episodes of the series Lioness (2023). He has also worked extensively in commercials.
