Biography
Corina Maritescu is a writer, producer and director. She was born in Bucharest, Romania, and immigrated to New York City in her late teens before earning an MFA in Film and Television Production from the University of Southern California.
Her television writing credits include episodes of Shameless (2020–2021), for which she also served as executive story editor, Sorry for Your Loss (2018–2019) and Joe vs. Carole (2022). She has produced the limited series The Penguin (2024) and written and directed several short films, including Artemis and Bow (2016) and One (2012).
Maritescu received a Writers Guild of America Award for the limited series The Penguin and was nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award in the Outstanding Limited or Anthology Series category for the same production.
