Biography
Cort Hessler is an American stunt coordinator, second unit director and director. He began working in stunts in the mid-1980s and has coordinated action sequences for numerous television series and feature films.
He is best known for his long association with the series The Blacklist (2013–2023), serving as stunt coordinator on more than 200 episodes, second unit director on dozens of episodes and director of eight episodes. Hessler has received one Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Stunt Coordination and holds the record for the most nominations in the category with thirteen.
His other credits include stunt work and coordination on films such as Doctor Strange (2016), Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (2004), Wanted (2008) and The Adjustment Bureau (2011), as well as series including Blue Bloods and Burn Notice.
