Biography
Dag Alveberg (1951–2010) was a Norwegian film producer. Born in Oslo, he began his career in production with Orions belte (1985) and went on to produce numerous Norwegian and Scandinavian features.
He served as producer on The Idiots (1998) for the Nordic Film & TV Fund, and as co-producer on The Celebration (1998). Alveberg produced the Elling films, including Elling (2001) and Mother's Elling (2003), the latter of which earned him the Norwegian Producer of the Year award in 2003. He also held senior roles at NRK Drama, Danmarks Radio and the Nordic Film & TV Fund, and founded the production company Maipo Film.
In addition to feature films, Alveberg produced the opening and closing ceremonies of the 1994 Winter Olympics in Lillehammer.
