Biography
Daniel Algrant is an American director, writer and occasional actor. He was born in New York City on 25 September 1959.
Algrant co-wrote and directed the feature Naked in New York (1993), which was executive produced by Martin Scorsese. He directed episodes of the television series Sex and the City (1999–2000) and the films People I Know (2002) and Greetings from Tim Buckley (2012). He also appears as the author Kelvin Kranz in Steven Soderbergh’s Let Them All Talk (2020).
Algrant is an alumnus of Harvard University and the Columbia University Film School. He executive produced the 2011 documentary How to Grow a Band.
