Biography
Danielle Macdonald is an Australian actress. Born in Sydney, she trained at the Australian Institute for Performing Arts and moved to the United States at the age of 18 to pursue acting.
She gained recognition for her leading role as Patricia 'Patti' Dombrowski in Patti Cake$ (2017) and as Willowdean Dickson in Dumplin' (2018). She appeared as Olympia in the 2018 film Bird Box and has had roles in series including Unbelievable (2019) and The Tourist (2022–2024). In 2019 she received the Rising Star Award at the Savannah Film Festival.
