Biography
Daragh O'Malley is an Irish actor. He was born on 25 May 1954 in Dublin and trained at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art. He was a founding member of the Common Stock Theatre Company, which performed in the East End of London.
O'Malley began his screen career with roles in the films The Long Good Friday (1980) and Withnail & I (1987), in which he played an Irishman. He is best known for portraying Sergeant Patrick Harper opposite Sean Bean in the Sharpe television series (1993–2008). He has appeared in numerous other British and American television productions, including Tales of the Unexpected, Silent Witness, Waking the Dead, Vera and Camelot.
